Yeah I got one of the lead writers to make something canon with help from my roommate and his dad.

Ok so this all started with a fan theory I read on Reddit. Basically the theory was that since the only animals in the movie that are shown to be capable of speech used to be human, then any animal that can talk was at one point a human.
On Kuzcoās first night alone in the jungle, he sees a fly in a spiderweb. The fly screams āHELP MEā then gets eaten.
The theory was that that fly used to be human.
So my roommate really liked that theory and said āhey my dad is actually friends with the guy who wrote Emperorās New Groove, he can ask him to confirm that theory for us.ā (Iām not naming names here I donāt wanna get sued)
So a couple days later we get screenshots of my roommateās dadās email asking about the theory and the lead writerās response:
āThe fly isā¦ Kuzcoās late father.ā
My roommateās dad: āis that canon?ā
Writer: āIt is now.ā
So Kuzcoās dad was turned into an animal by Yzma, we assume, as part of her ploy to take the throne. It makes SENSE.
And thatās how I helped change the canon of a major Disney movie.
Okay but this completely makes sense. Yzmas initial plan was to turn kuzco into a flea and then crush him??? I guess the dad was turned into a fly for same reasons but had chance toā¦ Fly away

Becoming more self aware is both one of the hardest and best things Iāve done. It sounds so easy but you literally have to retrain your brain. Iām not even saying Iām close to being half way there. Itās a constant training. But taking the time and effort to make the change in how I think,respond,react etc has changed my life immensely already. And people will want to be around you because you can finally be yourselfā¦ The best part? Once Iām there judgements from others will no longer be a deciding factor itās my number one problem and Itās still a work in progress but Iād 110% recommend
